  • Aung Myat Htay - artist, writer, curator (Myanmar)

    Without being confined by traditional means of expression, Aung Myat Htay explores the potential in the freedom of expression found in contemporary art. He expresses social messages with work that combines a contemporary sense with traditional forms of painting and sculpture.   • Chan Aye - artist, writer (Myanmar)

    Chan Aye, sculptor, installation artist, painter, writer (of articles on art), illustrator of book covers, is a prominent and outstanding artist of Burma. Chan Aye won the awards at Philip Morris Group of Companies Myanmar Art Awards 2001/2002 and The 2004 Sovereign Annual Contemporary Asia Art Prize. His overseas Exhibitions were organized in Singapore, Germany, Finland, France, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, China, USA (New York), UK (London), France, Korea and Japan. >> read more

    CHOUN Sopheap is a writer and poet. He has a strong interest on history and romance of the universe. He has published two English books: ‘Grief, Pain, and Sorrow’, and ‘The Rise and Downfall of the The Knight Templar’.     Daniela Contreras Aravena is a Chilean dancer. She is taking part in our workshop "Violent Memories - readdressing transformation through dance" in Johannesburg/South Africa in February 2018. Daniela Contreras is working as a dance teacher in her own studio in Santiago de Chile and is an active member in an organisation taking care and trying to heal traumata of children of the exile. >> read more

  • Di Lu Galay - poet (Myanmar)

    Di Lu Galay (born 1986) is one of the young poets playing an important role in the latest generation of poets in Burma. In 2013, 2014, and 2015 he organized the poetry festival called “Midnight Poetry Festival” on Facebook – a quite remarkable event among the late poetry generation. >> read more

    Burmese poet and translator Han Lynn will be the host of our opening workshop in Yangon/Myanmar in 2017. He is one of the founders and editors of the electronic journal "Be Untexed". In 2015 he spent a residency at the Sylt Foundation in Johannesburg/South Africa. In 2017 he will join the Poetry on the Road Festival at Bremen/Germany and spend a residency on the German Island of Sylt. >> read more

  • Irene S. Leung - researcher and strategist (USA / Cambodia)

    Irene S. Leung (United States) is a researcher and strategist. With graduate degrees in history of art and international development, Irene has been working to connect social sciences, arts, and humanities with organizational change and development. She has been living and working in Phnom Penh since early 2015. In June 2016, she convened and facilitated the first open space meeting with artists, arts managers, cultural researchers, and creative entrepreneurs in Cambodia. >> read more

    Jesús Sepúlveda is one of the leading Latin American poets emerged in the late 1980’s. He was the first Chilean writer-in-residence at the Sylt Foundation in Johannesburg: in December 2016 he was Fellow of the Sylt Foundation.     Jorge Aceituno is a Chilean photographer, who's interested in the breakdown of the ways to see and perceive. He usually develops his projects with the participation of disabled people in a labor of co-authorship.   • Kai Lossgott - artist (South Africa)

    Kai Lossgott is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher from Johannesburg. His preferred mediums are film, photography, and found objects. In 2015 he won the Barclays L'Atelier Award. In the end of 2016 he spent six weeks in Cambodia being a fellow of the Pisaot experimental residency program which is run by our partner Sa Sa Art Projects in Phnom Penh. >> read more

    Graffiti artist Jonas Gerberding was born and raised in Hamburg and Jakarta, Indonesia. His artist name L.I.E.S. is an acronym for „Life is extremly strange“.   • Loch Chantha - freelance writer and literary researcher (Cambodia)

    LOCH Chantha is a freelance writer and literary researcher. He has worked for local radio Voice of Democracy and other international NGOs for drama scripts, song lyrics, and poems. Chantha has produced a weekly radio program ‘Khmer Writers Talk Show’ using his own money by inviting writers to talk about their inspiration, works, and achievement.     Lut Latt Soe, b. 1971 in Yangon, graduated in physics. In 2001 she startet a professional journalist career. Studied Performance art & Installation art since 2001.     Mae Yway was born in Myeik. Her poems have appeared in periodicals and poetry collections since 2010. Her debut poetry book (Kabya Kyone Par Lite Tal) was published in June, 2013.   • Phina So - author (Cambodia)

    Phina So is an author. She has worked with many writers to publish two anthologies ‘Crush Collection’ and ‘Vitheavy and Other Short Stories’. In early 2016, Phina and three other writers co-founded Slap Paka Khmer (Khmer Collaborative Writers) to support Khmer writers. She has found the first Khmer Literature Festival in 2017.
