Jesús Sepúlveda and Phillippa Yaa de Villiers - at the Sylt Foundation in Johannesburg, december 2016
South South Dialogue
Jesús Sepúlveda is the first Chilean writer-in-residence at the Sylt Foundation in Johannesburg, spending five weeks there in december 2016 as a fellow of our South South Dialogue programme. At the Sylt Foundation he met South African poet and performing artist Phillippa Yaa de Villiers - hopefully not the last time!
Here you can find a recent conversation of Aragorn Eloff with Jesús Sepúlveda from 15 December 2016, talking about anarchism, the traps of ideology, globalization, freedom, identity and much more. Jesús Sepúlveda: "In my own practice I try to be as flexible as possible, so I do not get fixated on ideas and visions about how I should live my life. Freedom is first of all a process of liberation." Read the whole interview.
